We won the award
And lost the need to have it
And so letting go
Of poor desires to be seen
When we're already enough
Wanting to be seen is just human. We all want to be recognized, valued, and remembered. Being seen by others affirms our existence.
Some people just can't or don't want to see us. That's their problem, not ours. We don't need their approval or their blessing.
It helps to have friends who see us and love us just as we are. Those are the people we need around us. But ultimately we have to see ourselves clearly and believe that we're good enough--doing our best with what we've got.
